CAB Location before install via WMDC

When I had an XP box, I used to install apps to my PPC without the PPC connected, getting the message "XXX will be installed the next time you connect". THen I'd go to the ActiveSync directory and make a copy of the CAB file to put into a folder on my SD card for easy reinstall should something happen to my PPC. As might be expected, an issue with the SD card caused me to lose those CAB file, and now, upon reinstall, I cannot find where Vista and the Windows Mobile Device Center store the CAB file prior to install. Any ideas?
