alltel PPC6700

I have Qwest wireless service and I just purchased a alltel ppc6700 on ebay,
can I install the new qwest rom and use it with Qwest. I have a qwest PPC6700 that is failing to respond to the alignment of the touchscreen and I want to replace it..
