Before I start building, here's what I have in mind for the new ROM. Take the stock kitchen, and:
REMOVE Transcriber Windows Live MSN FWupdate (I think we're beyond OTA updates from Sprint, don't you?) Office 2005 Terminal Services Remote Desktop BTW, all that comes out of the SYS folder. Whoa! Dangerous! (not really) ADD Office 2007 Crossbow dialer HTC 10-button Comm Manager HTC 6-button Home plugin (modified) HTC default theme HTC Task Manager HTC Audio Manager (less RAM usage than WMP, and matches the theme and other HTC stuff) Esmertec Java Internet Sharing Live Search 2 Phone Codes WM5torage ExtROM Unlocker And of course, my "special sauce" registry tweaks On the bubble: Handyshopper 1-Calc Lite Anyone got a problem with that? |
nope
is there going to be a speeddial button? |
There are picture speeddials in the Home Plugin from HTC. I've personally found voicedial to be more trouble than it's worth, and would prefer not to include Cyberon if I can get away with it.
|
Also, the installer will be packaged with a blank ExtROM partition. Two reasons for this. One, no chance of accidentally running those outdated CABs since they won't be there (although I'm removing the AutoRun OEM, so they wouldn't be automatically installed anyway). Two, when you run the Unlocker in your Programs folder, you instantly have another 10MB of black space to put stuff in. w00t!

sounds great, but do you have a CAB version of windows live or windows messenger, i personally like using messenger since all of my friends are on it.
|
also what about the youtube videos hack....
|

I can say i am looking forward to your end product. Thanks again! |
Please include list..
Needs:
Total Commander LVM Top Bat Wants: BT Audio Remote Desktop (use it for server emergencies) Thank you for your consideration... |
yeah, remove cyberdial, but please include 1-calc lite. although i can always install afterwards. Looking forward to grabbing the next "generation" Kirvin Sprint ROM
|
I will be including TCPMP with YouTube, Total Commander, and Vista Battery Gauge (which takes up the least amount of resources of any of the battery meters I've seen).
