It may well not be. I didn't look too hard for that since I live in a city supported by the actual htc.accuweather.com and thus don't want to go through an additional server to get the weather. Fewer hops == better. If you need the hacked version, just find the HTCHome.dll for that build and copy it into your \windows directory on the Apache, then soft reset.

thanks, i'll give that a shot.

and thanks again for the best roms for the apache. i loved your older rom as well the new one so far!

:(
i giddy for the new release.

i need the generic version, i have alltel.

also, Jeff,
s there an .exe for the device lock? i looked in the windows folder, but there was nothing obvious.

i have sbp pocket plus, and want to make a short cut there for it, so i can use the device lock space on my today screen for something else.

Not sure about the lock.

I should have time to upload the generic ROM tomorrow morning.

Did some more digging and I think some thing happened with my version of Activesync. I was able to get WMDC to work on my Vista laptop after redownloading it. Now trying to work out some kinks with SOTI Pocket Controller....but everything else seems to be fine. Thanks for the rom again!!!

Happy little trees

The generic ROM is up.

ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....04_Generic.exe

This is a "NO CARRIER" ROM, and has NO carrier customizations built in. You will likely have to create your #777 EVDO connection yourself. If you don't know how to do that, please don't install this.

MMS Issue

Nevermind I uninstalled then reinstalled. Everything is working fine. Now if Sprint would just correct their site to allow us to view our pictures correctly without going throw hoops I'd be set.

Jeff, is there a way to get rid of the battery meter up top?

Also, is there a way to go back to just the time instead of the time and date on the top bar?

Thanks.

Jeff if someone can't do that, they have no business flashing new roms in the first place, it's not for special ed Apache users. Then again, it's not rocket science. At any rate, thank so much for filling my request for the generic rom, and as you stated over the weekend, please have the common sense not to let your out dated cabs start installing in your extended roms.

The battery meter is a shortcut in \windows\startup

The time is a registry hack, you can find it by searching right here on PPCgeeks, I don't have it on hand at the moment.
