Simultaneous Button Presses?
I have the 6700 Multiple Keypress Program from emulamer.com - and have used it for the last year. You start it, and leave it running in the background while running any applications that would require a simultanious keypress. IE - Pressing the up arrow at the same time as button "a". Or right and left to behave diagonally.
However, it's clumsy - because if the primary application requires a lot of memory, the program gets shut down. For example, certain emulators like Finalburn CE can force the program to close. Is there a more elegant fix, like a change in registry entries? Or perhaps a rom with an updated firmware? I'm just curious if anyone's been able to get simultaneous keypresses on their 6700 - without the background program. Thanks. |
I too would like to know. I use a few emulators, and it is awful frustrating when I can run then jump in Super Mario Bros, lol. It would be awesome if some one has a better fix.

Well, if you only want to do this for Super Mario Brother's the keypress fix on emulamer.com will work more than fine. It just craps out when I'm running a memory intensive application - like Neo Geo games.
Let me know if you have it - or know where it is. Because otherwise, I could send it to you or look for the link. |
I actually didnt know about that fix untill your post. I have downloaded it and am currently using it on my XV6700. It works pretty good, but I would still like to find something that doesnt require a program to be running.

Have you looked at the possibility of using Vijay555's simulate key press and maybe in combination with using mortscript if needed? Might be more memory friendly.

Thanks for the suggestion - but it's not so much memory as having a program in the background at all. Some intensive programs close out backgrond programs altogether.
Does the 6800 allow for simultaneous keypresses? If not, I'd consider that a major weakness. That would make it worthless for emulation. |
