6700 programming problems...whats going on?

How do i get into program mode for the 6700 again? Its been so long and I've forgotten. Sprint instructions don't seem to be working. Trying to swap my old 6700 with my backup 6700. Cheers!

Re: 6700 programming problems...whats going on?

So you've already done an ESN swap on Sprint's website to activate your backup 6700? ##778# is the main programming code I think, though you'll also need your MSL code to make any changes. (you should have gotten that on Sprint's website during the ESN swap) ##3282# is for setting up data services, although I don't think you'd need to change any of that - the phone should try to provision itself once you attempt to use the data connection.

If it has any custom ROM it won't work. Flash to stock.

Not true, I just cooked a Sprint ROM for my 6700 and if you choose the "official CDMA" dialer (I can't remember the name) it WILL allow you to use all the standard "##" codes.

Yeah I should have stated that. But most custom roms will not allow it since they usally don't have stock dialers with codes. Even some of the dialers ported from other device don't support codes. I put a stock dilaer in my ROM just for that...
