Why didn't this work
 

I just flashed my phone with the verizon rom for this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9841

Now, after it finished, i dialed *611 and it came up with alltel(my phone was on alltel before the flash) Did i do something wrong to be able to switch to verizon?

Why did you use that old ROM? It is old and has bugs...

I used it cause the kitchen wasnt working for me, it kept giving an error telling me that the rom wasnt compatible with my phone

It's because you didn't select NoID RUU. Make sure you match the bootloader with it. I have a Generic WM6.1 ROM that would work for you. It's a few threads down...

Glad to hear that lilbilent. I am not sure it was the RUU from Robs ROM actually though. I checked his and they are identical to mine. What I did was re-cook the .nbf files. Anyways, live and learn. I am glad it's workin for ya. Enjoy it. Was it clean enough for you? I am thinking about removing some more apps...

u are well u can try to replace the file explorer with the the gsfinder i like that one better.u can add the htc home tabs for the today screen.add the vista phone dialer with the calculator also.also add the task manager from the htc kaiser i love that one much more cuz its easy access.what i love about this rom is the voice commander,the thread text,way 2 much ringtones n theme but thats not a problem i can live with it.i understand u tried to make it as simple as possible
