Poll: Should the 6700 have come with a hardware lock switch?

As much as I love my 6700, the lack of a hardware lock is rather annoying. Today, while I was out and about listening to music, it starts dialing someone on my contacts list (probably from getting tossed around in my bag). I don't like the software lock on it as it takes too much to deactive if I'm just trying to change songs in WMP, but it seems like it's necessary to keep the phone from having a mind of it's own.

I was wondering if maybe there was an app to turn the volume switch on the phone into a lock as it seems less likely to get accidentally hit during ordinary use.
