Water Logged Apache
I got my phone back from the company i plow driveways for today, it had been in the snow for about a month, and all of it melted on top of it im sure. I'm hoping no one attemted to turn it on.
I completely dissambled the phone about 5 mins ago and all of the components are now on a towel drying out in front of my computer on a towel. How long do you think i should let it dry out? P.S- I found no evidence of water in the phone when i took it apart, a little bit of dust, and some of the metal was discolored in a few very small areas. |
Re: Water Logged Apache
Use a hair dryer.

I dried out my RAZR when a cousin of mine took it in the pool when we were messing around. It worked. And his face was as red hot as the phone when I was done knocking him out. Lol.

Re: Water Logged Apache
Well, i did NOT use a hair dryer, i've seen mixed reviews on this method, i let the disassembled parts sit on a towel overnight.
Everything works perfectly, all of the keys, the touch screen, it's amazing! |
Re: Water Logged Apache
Wow mine took a beating but one day i threw my phone like a light toss on the the desk the screen shattered inside .
If it doesn't work let me know i got my old apace for parts. |

Re: Water Logged Apache
Get TEP on your account if you don't have it already... It will cost $50 to replace the phone (plus monthly TEP charge)... You will likely get a Mogel or a Touch Pro as a replacement...
Note that in April, the replacement cost increases to $100 |
