HOW??? LMAO!!!

I did the proxy change... then when I go to http://calltones.sprintpcs.com:8080/home.asp I see the calltones... BUT when I click on one, it's someone elses phone number! Like if I purchased it, they'd be purchasing it for their phone.

I don't understand why I can't go to vision.sprintpcs.com either... how do we check our minutes, access content all that stuff... I'm on the highest vision plan they have etc. w/data yadda yadda... i just now realized while reading this thread that I can no longer go to vision.sprintpcs.com like I used to w/my other phone

Wideawake: what did you do exactly to get calltones to come up for your phone? Are you using a WAP browser? or just the proxy change?

Edit: I just realized that everytime I go to advanced and change it from Sprint to "my work network" and hit ok, that it's not sticking. it's not saving the changes I'm making at all. How odd. I'm using Sar's 3.5pr6.

This is frustrating me! LOL! I got the account access denied mssg. Hit okay then got the system error mssg one

its very simple kill internet explorer, create a new connection with the proxy settings, delete the sprint one. reconnect by lauching ie and go to vision.sprintpcs.com at the top u will see a logo with text on it. refresh until u see throw some d's on it by rich boy. click the link, scroll down select calltones. bookmark page and ur all set. good luck!

okay this may be a totally DUMB question but when I kill the sprint connection do I leave it that way and just connect by the proxy from now on?

Edit: NM when I got rid of the Sprint one, now I can't connect at all. I set up the proxy the way the steps said to, but no regedit or browser change. Hmmmmmmmm

Well, what I did was erase the sprint connection and made a new one with the proxy, clicked advanced and set both to use the new connection, cleared cookies, deleted temp files, waited a while and voila it worked (using http://vm.sprintpcs.com/Manage/mypor...ontentCatalog? )

LMAO I am totally confused. Yes... I know this can be done by you guys in your sleep but I totally am goofing it. Every time I delete the sprint one and make a new proxy one it tells me it can't connect. If I leave the sprint one on but change both to connect via the new proxy, it connects by dialing 777 and the proxy stuff I entered is literally erased.

Do you go to the advanced section, choose select networks and make sure that both are set up for the proxy connection? Then allow connection.

I did. Weird thing is that if I get rid of the sprint one.. meaning no 777.... then it says no dice (won't connect)... if I leave a 777 connection in there, set both to new proxy, it dials the 777 one to connect, and all the proxy info I put it is gone/not saved anymore?

my phone has QUITE the personality ...

Okay now you've lost me. What both? The proxy and the orig sprint one? or the two drop down choices? how can they be set to dial 777 if they are connecting via the proxy? I think I am setting up the proxy wrong?

Why do I feel like this is so ultimately easy to do and for some reason I am being incredibly DENSE????
