What is my option now? LCD is acting weird.

Hello all!

So I bought my XV6700 back in July 18th of 2006, and now my 6700 LCD is active oddly. What I mean by that is the middle part of the LCD doesn't respond well like it used to. I have to press really hard to get it recognize.

I think it's still under UTStarCom warranty, but question is what do I need to send it back to UTStar? Anybody done this recently?

go to the chat and look for imcokeman, he had that experience. you have to mail it on, and they fix/send back. ~2 wk+ turnaround time.

Could also go try the vzw store, see what they might be able to help, maybe swap it for you, if they're nice.

Woohooo!!

Can't believe what happened!! I called Verizon Wireless local store here in Bay Area (California), the lady just heard me mentioned about PDA and said "Sir you have to call VZW". So I did, and press bunch of option and finally got to the trouble with PDA tech department. Presented my situation, and she checked my account and warranty is still good until August. Did place an order for a replacement unit and ship it out already. FREE of cost!!

Now the question is would it be 6800 ?

couple friends had the same problem. just had them hard reset and it was good to go. both were using kirvins c&s 3.5 rom

Verizon just sent me a replacement phone for my 6700... it was another 6700, but at least this one didn't have any scratches on it.
