Unlock Codes
 

I'm trying to put my phone onto my daughters Sprint account. To do this, I nesd to be able to get to the edit screen to make some changes. None of the ## codes that Sprint gives me to enter on the phone pad takes me to the edit screen. Is there an alternative way to get to that screen? Is there a file that I can look for on the phone that should be opened?

A lot of the custom dialers do not allow the # codes to function. Do you have a custom one on there?

I'm not sure and the phone is with my daughter right now. If I do, what can be done? Thanks.

If you haven't tried ##000000#, try that. If you have and it still will not work, go to start>settings>system>remove programs and see if there is anything installed that looks like a custom dialer. If so, uninstall it. As a last resort, you could hard reset it. Before hard resetting, I would recommend doing a backup with Sprite, SPB Backup, etc. I don't believe there is any alternate method to get in there and change the MDN and MSID other than the # codes.

I put a custom rom on the phone. Possibly I have a dialer embedded in that rom. I may have to reflash with a rom without a custom dialer. Does that make sense?

That is possible, which ROM do you have on there?

I'd try installing a different dialer and see if that works.
