After making kitchen for Verizon do I *228?

Hey all. I made my first attempt at making a kitchen from Helmi_APAC_Official_AKU3.5_Kitchen_1.0.2

I built for Verizon and when it was all the flashing was done and the phone reboots, there was no automatic provisioning for Verizon.

Did it already have it done during the kitchen build process?

When I try *228 to program the phone, it does not work. I searched through the help and support files and there is nothing mentioned about what to do after something like this goes wrong.

Also after boot, I get the error that voicecommand cannot be found.

Thaks in advance for the help.

Microsoft Voice Command isn't able to be packaged so you'll have to put your own copy of the exe in windows or the OEM voice command folder. I use Cyberon voice command here.

*228 doesn't work for me either. I get the programming menu, I choose 2 to update the PRL, but it eventually beeps at me (loudly) and says Initial Programming Required, hehe. I'm not too worried about it because I havn't had any roaming problems.

You can soft-reset again before the verizon provisioning starts because it was included in the rom if you added Verizon Ext_ROM option.

-If the appropriate kitchen option has been selected, the ROM will have all the necessary carrier customizations in it already. You should not need to run the provisioning from your EXTROM, and doing so may mess things up.

-*288 and *28899 (same thing without prompts) work fine for me on Verizon with a ROM based on the the 1.0.2 kitchen. Can you be more specific around what you selected in the kitchen?

Thanks for the responses!

The phone actually works just fine, but I thought with a new ROM that all of my account stuff would be blank, so I went off to *228 and program it and it failed. I decided to check the phone and it called my other line no problem, and is alst received a call no problem, but I was curious why it would not re-program.

As for the provisioning, the instructions said to "stop the process when the timer says it will customize the phone with a soft reset" and when none of that happened, I thought I did something wrong.

I actually don't remember what I selected in the build, so I will make another without voice command.

I've had the same problem... but I noticed that if I keep trying, eventually it will go through. This has happned with several different builds of the kitchen, so I'm not so sure it's a problem with one of the OEMs. Seemed like it was due to weak signal strength while programming.
