i am looking for the internet sharing cab. the one that is used in Kirvin Clean Rom. i am just not understanding the tethering posts and the usage fees and all that. I am using the original rom for the sprint ppc 6700 could someone plz give me some advice. i just want to get online with my laptop using my phone as a modem and not pay sprint more money for the same service that i am already paying for. thanks in advance.

I guess all of the threads about this topic have fallen pretty far down.

The Internet sharing app is pretty simple, fire it up, select USB or Bluetooth (Bluetooth has issues on many of the intermediate roms, but should be ok for the new kitchen ones). Then hit connect, your phone will connect to EVDO. Once your phone is all settled plug it in to your laptop via USB. It will create a new network, and connect. Now you should be able to use the web on the laptop, no other config needed.

I'm running the BigJ ROM that has this utility. I've got it setup to run and everything seems to go fine, but when I connect it my computer needs drivers. Anybody have any idea what kind of drivers this utility needs?

Unfortunately, not right now. It would be nice though... It would also be nice to share the EVDO connection via Wi-Fi
