Exclamation Apache is non-responsive in Bootloader Mode

Hey all...New to PPC and was trying to install a new ROM. Got a connection error twice and now, I am stuck on the Bootloader, v2.05. When I attempt a hard reset, I hit Y, then spacebar and then it just goes back to Bootloader screen. Additionally, WMDC cannot connect with it. It is seen in device manager under mobile device as Microsoft USB Sync...but I can get any further. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yeah, as you have noticed WMDC on Vista or AS on XP wont connect to it while it is in BL mode. Do a search on the board for being stuck in BL mode and you will find the file and you can also look here and try that.

WOOHOOO! Thanks weedahoe! It worked like a charm...now if I can only figure out what made it do that in the first place. I think I'll start with getting rid of 2.05 back to...what do you recommend? 2.02? Of course, I have to find out on here how to do that. Thanks again!!!

Well IDK exactly because its been a while but I know somewhere in the ROM flashing/writing process things turn south I think. Whatever is the BL version you have on the device is the BL you should be choosing in the Kitchen where you are cooking the ROM.

Well...maybe I was using the wrong version...but last night I loaded 6.1 and it is SWEET!

Do you know where I find my nbf files for verizon? I need those to downgrade to bootloader 2.02 and I have searched everywhere. Had to flash a really small ROM due to the 2.05...I can only imagine how much I'll love it when I can really cook a big one. Thanks again.

No. Don't waste time. If you keep building a buncha junk into it, you will probably end up with a slow and unstable ROM.

Re: Apache is non-responsive in Bootloader Mode

Thanks for the input guys. Even with this slim ROM I loaded...it's a MILLION times better than the WM5. I think I'll be more than happy with what I have instead of flashing one that'll be unstable. I LOVE this ppc again...

Hey Hibby...thanks for the tip, but it requires v1.02 or below. I've got v2.05 and that's why I was looking the for the nbf files for the stock VZW ROM. If I can find those, I can downgrade...

Re: Apache is non-responsive in Bootloader Mode

Yeah, you actually can't switch between 1.xx and 2.xx They actually represent the hardware version. But a clean WM6.1 can get pretty close to that Kirvin WM5. You might be able to use the .bf file in a new RUU for 2.05 I'm gonna try this as I never have. Cause I know a lot of people would love to do that...
