yeah, I lost mine too. Not a big problem, but it is annoying.
I suupose a hole punch for leather would work if you could find some material. I was thinking of trying RTV gasket seal. The liquid plastic you could coat tool handles with would work great too. |

I've lost mine too. What I did (and you'll find this funny) is take the little rubber foot off of a telephone base or anything that has little rubber feet to keep them from sliding around, and used a razor blade to trim it down. A little super glue later and I was back in business. My homemade job has lasted longer than the original!!

Hi,
Yeah, I have lost mine too and tried the blings as well. I was lucky to find this one guy who has some OEM ones with him. Pretty reasonable. I think he charged me $2 for it and another $2 for shipping. I sure am happy to get the usability back without the metal pricking against my fingers. If you guys are interested, I can try and fish out his email address. |

mine fell off and was sitting luckily on my hardware buttons. Noticed it when I pulled it out of my casing. This was well over a month ago and still have not put it back on. took some time to get used to it and still not 100perecent accurate. I will very soon put it back on

a nice black jewel would look good, but seeing as my thumb gets sweaty i'd lose grip easily.
see, ive tried the rubber footing, but my cutouts are always crooked.. not a perfect circle, then i end up chipping it all away until nothing is left.. lol i wonder if filling it with that rtv gasket sealer would do the trick. i'll try that as a last resort though.. see if you can get that guys email, an oem replacement would be great. use gorilla glue to hold it on or epoxy. |

I lost mine and just filled it with a few drops of gorilla glue, leaving enough room for expansion. Next morning, I just took a razor and trimmed it down to a nice little bump. Looks pretty cool, as it 's got that amber color to it.

There are some threads on this over at PDAPhoneHome.com
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6700-xv6700/ I believe one of the better suggestions was using a piece of an eraser from a mechanical pencil. And everyone suggested using superglue applied to the rubber NOT into the hole. Good luck.
