I have a portable GPS, and had a question.

Hey guys, well I bought a Pioneer AVIC-D2 nagivation system for my vehicle, and I love it! I also got for free from them, their portable AVIC-S1 GPS system with Bluetooth (to sync to and use it as a speaker phone. has a dial pad and everything)

I was curious to know if there's a way I can use this Portable GPS to my advantage with my 6700?

I've heard lots of people use the words GPS and 6700 in one topic and was curious to know what exactly that's all about.

Any help, info, and ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!!

I doubt it. What you really need is a portable bluetooth gps unit. The pioneer is a self contanied system so i dont think it will work with your 6700. After you get a bluetooth gps unit you need to get software like TomTom for maps and directions. SOrry for the late post.

I don't understand why you want to hook this to your 6700. You already have all you need for GPS. What is the advantage to connecting this to your 6700? Just wondering.

Yeah, but she is trying to use gps through bluetooth not the phone. What you need is bluetooth gps unit designed specifically for use through bluetooth.
