Sup folks !!

Ran into this over lakeridge software web site. (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/for...ad.php?t=11402)

This is a pretty neat program that uses flash and mortscript.

1. Download these files
2. Install mortscript on your PPC
3. Copy all the files frim iTask.zip to your \ folder
4. Run iTask.exe from \ and enjoy.

Note u can modify the script file to run your other exe. This is a good combination to go with the slide to lock.

photos? what exactly are we talking about? can u be a little more specific than just a cool program? thanks.

If you go to the site you will find a video.....It is an iphone style them with cool animations between screens....I have it running and its pretty cool.

lazyboy0172 06-20-2007 09:20 PM

i'll download it for later, maybe i will use it, right now i have the actual iphone theme going, this seems more like an osx theme, but the transitions are sick! (thats sick, not slick...they arent very smooth at all actually, pretty jerky)

here is a video of it in action:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3BeSG-aKLo

again, pretty snazzy and way cooler than what i have now, but it also is just more of an OSX thing, with the white bar and the background and such.

jamesus 06-20-2007 10:18 PM

I love this. It just goes to show you how great a PPC actually is.

nmeister 06-21-2007 12:03 PM

I think it is from this thread originally: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=309082

4 Door Skyline 06-21-2007 12:24 PM

is it me, or almost none of the buttons work?

nmeister 06-21-2007 12:29 PM

Thats what I got from the thread I posted, but the video that is linked looks like they work. Maybe I linked to the wrong project, but they have the same name and sure sound familiar.

jamesus 06-21-2007 02:12 PM

I haven't had most of the buttons work as well.

mgioia2 06-21-2007 02:30 PM

If you open the .msrc files on your PC with notepad you can change the path to what is actually on YOUR PC. But it doesn't exactly work for all of them anyway...a couple worked like that for a while for me, then they just stopped, some still do...i don't know, it's kinda screwy for sure...

ggaeta 07-01-2007 06:03 PM

this looks great but has anyone gotten this to work?

Matrix 07-02-2007 06:15 AM

I think many people aren't aware of the fact that you must place everything in your root directory - meaning all the directories, itask.exe, etc.

schettj 07-02-2007 09:13 AM

Does it rely on wisebar advanced? First post in the first url of your post seems to say it does?

Matrix 07-02-2007 12:43 PM

I think it only relies on Wisbar to skin the top bar (with the start button, signal strength, etc). It worked alright for me without it.

Torx 07-02-2007 08:45 PM

cheers to the guys that spent the time creating this...

BUT.. theres always a but..
the graphics are awful looking... i dunno if its just mine, but the main screen looks heavily compressed.. i can see artifacts all over the icons..

the app doesnt look as good as on the video.. just a heads up guys..
back to WAD.

how do i do this?

IM0001 07-03-2007 02:47 PM

hm

Works fine for the most part. But I would like to tinker with it and correct a few buttons and settings that are off a bit.

4 Door Skyline 07-03-2007 03:27 PM

by all means my brother, we would be greatly in your debt

Matrix 07-03-2007 04:00 PM

IM0001, be aware that it's still being actively developed by rhov23 here: http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/for...ad.php?t=11402

kingnike04, unzip it to a directory, then take everything:

Help files
itaskmort
itaskpics
itasktext
itask.exe

And move it to your root folder. If you don't know what "root" means, it's the same place as Windows, Program Files, etc.

This app is Awesome!!! I'm following the thread on Lakeridge & am running version Alpha 3 on my Verizon XV-6700. All apps/buttons are working fine. I am NOT a programmer. But, the app was very easy to configure & customize!

I had to change the scripts to match the 6700, after going through & testing them all. Below are the Control Panel numbers, apps, & codes that I'm using. These can also be used to build shortcuts for other apps. . . . Sorry if this is old news to some. ;)

I'm also running .exe's & games from their individual panels. Working on my custom buttons/icons now! :D My only issues are the 24-Hour clock & Weather in Celcius.

FYI, I'm running my own customized rom from the Unified Rom Kitchen.

AAMON17, How do you get to the "control panel" i have the itask folder in the root directory but i still cant get all the buttons working

zenak 07-06-2007 10:02 AM

Having trouble with the .mscr files - when I edit them on the PC to the proper path they still claim there is no app associated with them. So then I went to the file manually, ran it, pointed it to the .exe I wanted it to point to and the buttons still don't work for me. Am I missing something here, or do some of them just not want to work? Camera, contacts, TCPMP, I can't get any to work. I have added Games and Apps through the input.txt file and that works like a champ.

You can't physically get to the CTRL Panel. You have to edit the .mcsr files on your PC/Laptop FIRST. Then load them onto your device. The codes in my previous post show you what to place in the corresponding .mcsr file.

Also, you have to place the FILES & folders in the root folder. So take everything that's in the iTask folder, and place those files & reference folders in the root.

That error sounds about right, since WM5 won't launch .exe's directly. For the main buttons, you have to point to either a Control Panel item OR a shortcut file (ie. XXXXX.lnk) Pointing to .exe files only works for the games/apps on the input text file.

zenak 07-08-2007 10:30 AM

Sweet! It won't let me browse to a shortcut, but I can change the paths easily enough in textpad. Thanks for the heads up!

The following folders are filled with application shortcuts that you can link to [example - run ("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\internet explorer.lnk") ]:

\windows
\windows\start menu
\windows\start menu\programs
\windows\start menu\settings

Helodad 07-09-2007 09:43 AM

whats wrong

I loaded the program in my program folder. When I try and to exe. It says I need a flash player? Then I load the flash player it says it not pocket pc program did any one else have this issue with there Verizon ver of th6700? Am I placing the file in the wrong place?

zenak 07-09-2007 10:39 AM

You should read the readme in the help files folder. This program isn't grab and go, and not 6700 friendly out of the box. It isn't designed specifically for the 6700, but does work well on one.

I was thinking I can upload my config for others to use once I get it finalize, but I'm not there yet.

You need to install Flash 7, make sure you have the newest version, as well as the MortScript program he links to on the thread. Then you copy the file and folders all to root ( \ ) That should get you started.

Q2010 07-09-2007 11:19 AM

Someone should make a custom rom using 3.5 and itask with all the added goodies... Anyone else agree?

Wideawake 07-09-2007 11:22 AM

someone could make this into a cab for n00bs *cough cough*....I could but I found another similar app that doesn't use mortscript. Working on tweaking...may share with everyone when I finish.

4 Door Skyline 07-09-2007 12:00 PM

SWEET!!! ur the man!

ps: do you know how to make icontacts your default contact viewer?

Wideawake 07-09-2007 12:31 PM

unfortunately I dont use icontacts I use Contact Manager 0.9 its in the software section under Finger Flick contacts. Its really great....I like it better compared to others...
_mike

zenak 07-09-2007 07:25 PM

I tried iContacts, but with over 300 contacts it is slow to get to the higher end of the alphabet... does contact manager .9 have shortcuts or tabs in it, or does it just finger scroll?

gsessons 07-09-2007 10:09 PM

can't wait for the cab............
