Memory Card freezing xv6700

Now i have searched here and googled it and havent come to a conclusion. could have sworn i have seen it hee before, but cant find i now. My phone locks up when i put in my memory card, and instantly ulocks when i remove it. Reformated the card in my computer, took off wm6.1 and put back on wm5... nothing. could it be an issue with my memory card or mini adapter? Just trying to figure out if i should get a new memory card or just get a new phone....
