Active Sync Opening by itself.
 

The active sync program opens by itself randomly i was wondering if it happens to you guys?!! or if there is a way to stop it!! it doesnt actually open but it runs in the background.. when i check the running programs its always there even if im not connected to my comp. maybe there is a setting i need to change?! if you guys know please help me out!! thanks!!

I wrote a post on this awhile back at SU on this issue that you can read here

Now, technically this may not work with the AKU 2.1 rom update but it is worth a shot.

Also, make sure under the scheduler you don't have anything set to sync (or under your email, no auto-sync).

Edit: I think I remember now! Disable your Auto-Sync time under

Settings--> Phone --> Services Tab --> Time Synchronization

I'm 95% sure you all have that enabled. Turn it off, it's dumb, causes AS to run, is not needed and can cause lock-ups.!

My Time Sync is off and ActiveSync still constantly opens on its own.

Malatesta, do you use real push email with an exchange server? I'm wondering if it turns on to sync the email/contacts/etc

Mine was also set to off but it comes on few times a day. I had to turn it off everytime I see it. Wonder if it will drains the battery when it comes on.

No, I'm a VGSMail guy...

Not sure what my AS never comes on (excpet if I were to sync, obviously)...

mine is uncheked and still comes on every now and then :/
