[quote="takmsdsm"]bug 1: same problem i had in JBabeys rom. My today plugins are not refreshing to my choices, and require a soft reset to fix.

I had that same problem also but found that it was the new htc taskmanager. I switched back to the old version and it worked like a champ.

You need to add the boot screen you desire to the "ROM\nk.nba" file. This can be done using the tool in the "Splash Screen App" folder. First you need to convert an image to the ".nb" format with "nb_image_converter_859_418.exe" and then add it to the base ROM using "patchlogo.exe"

every theme ive tried in the cooking has resulted in those extras being installed...
"metal.tsk" and "WMBE.tsk" need to be removed from "OEM\Helmi_Addition". "Guava Bubbles.tsk" needs to be removed from "SYS\Base_Lang_0409_DPI_96". Be sure to rebuild the .dsm files after making these changes.

I can't seem to get HTC Smart Dial to work; everytime I pick it and go to the phone -- the screen is all white. Even when I include the HTC Touch theme.

Any suggestions?

the smartdial needs to go with certain dialers. If the dialer does not say (Smartdial included) then check the Smartdial box. the Touch dialer has a version of smartdial already in it, but it does not work well.

These are the dialer options that I have in BuildOS:

CaptainJager Dialer
Crossbow Dialer
Default Windows Blue Dialer
Despiser Black Dialer Skin
reTOUCHed Dialer (SmartDial Included)
HTC Smart Dial

So for the HTC Smart Dial... do I need HTC Smart Dial & reTOUCHed Dialer?

No, you need to check Smart dial with any of the others.

Maybe it would make more sense to you if the line said:
reTOUCHed Dialer (HTC SmartDial Included)

... even though that may not be 100% accurate.

Just to let you know... the reTOUCHed dialer still has some minor bugs. If I were you, I would check any of the other Dialers as well as checking the HTC Smart Dial option. That would give you a fully functional Dialer skin with Smart Dial included. Check out some of the earlier posts in this thread for reasons why the reTOUCHed dialer has problems with this ROM.

okay, this is a bit harder than i thought..

so far from what i understand..
- i delete the metal.tsk, wmbe.tsk from helmi addition folder
- copy over the builddsm.exe to the OEM folder
- drag helmi addition folder onto the builddsm.exe adn that should rebuild the dsm file in the hemi folder.
- do the same for base_lang after deleting guava

now im confused as heck on patching this logo.
- ive made my design, created the .nb file

but have no clue as to what to do now.. do i go through the normal cooking process and when the final encoding is done and created in the /temp folder, THEN i patch it?

or am i supposed to patch that nk.nba(after renaming to .fat) IN the /ROM folder.. but i thought we werent supposed to touch that folder..
thanks!
