Negative. I opened that program, looked at it, and exited. Never used. I thought about this and phoneweaver as well. Looked at that too, but never used. I thought either of these could have been a culprit - can or do they turn themselves on ever?

nope they sure dont. wish i could duplicate it.. well not really, but you know what i mean

fitbryan 06-13-2007 01:49 AM

so do I! :P whats even stranger is the double soft-resets needed to get back to normal. Never seen anything 1 soft reset wouldnt cure.

I backup/restore via Intellisync. Did u get the cab I sent over via PM? Any luck with that reg entry? I will keep an eye on this, and see if I can find a common denomenator.
The program runs as a "Service" on the handset. The only way to keep the stupid icon off the todayscreen is to remove the service, effectively making it worthless for what it does. The phone actually allows it to run as a system service as well so you wont see where it loads, but if you look in the registry it loads itself along with your drivers and other OS level items.

The only thing you can really do at this point is file a complaint that its not an option to have that icon be removed.

bad coding on their part, but very clever the way it integrates itself seamlessly. This may also be why your phone is crashing as the program hooks into your contact list.

This program is really "cool" but ill stick to my mail2web exchange synch, this program is WAY overdose on backup services.

Try this www.emoze.com site for a free exchange solution that might be the answer to your dreams. This worked well with Mario ROM's through unified 1.6. I haven't yet tried it with the new core.

This is a first for me too.

My alarm did not go off this morn. I am using the stock alarm and not the AlarmClock program.

Seems like alarm was not able to wake the phone. The moment I turned the phone on both alarm bubbles showed up.

No idea why alarms could not wake up my phone. I was using the Alarm tone included in the ROM. None of my plugins / software run off SD card, thanks to JB as everything is in the ROM itself now :)

using the STOCK alarm???!!!?? your lucky i dont know how to remove that! It sounds like you have "dangling" or "duplicate" notifications in your system. Several things can cause it (look it up later) but you can get rid of them pretty easily. Go into Memmaid and on the bottom LEFT tab for clean, check the boxes to clean both dangling and duplicate notifications. once checked off hit the "clean" button and it should resolve your problem. your other problem is that you use the stock alarm program, you may want to use the shortcut in /programs/ called...... wait for it..... .AlarmClock! hahaha, (aint i a stinker).

anyways run that cleanup and try again, the stock should work, but its lacking in so many ways, thats why i put in gsAlarmClock.

-regarding an exchange solution, I use Mail2Web, its free and there is a guide on these very forums for how to set it up and all that. Be aware though... as with ANY exchange solution your battery life will suffer greatly.

You were right, I did have some duplicate notifications. Stupid Microsoft ;) why are they even allowed !!!

I always use QuickClean and use dupli/dangling checked to keep cleaning them, but I didn't custonize them yet on this new flash since yesterday.

I would looooooooove to switch to AlarmClock, but it does not allow me multiple alarms..... and I can't afford to make a mistake of turning that off in the morning and going back to bed, with no second kickass alarm waking me up again as I don't have monthly pass at train station, but have to fight for lame daily parking spots.... well there I digress to my gripe.

Anyhow, thanks for all the wonderful work and bearing with us aholes.

Had my first freeze today.

I had Internet Sharing running in the background, I checked the Settings->Memory->Storage Card status to see how much memory I had free, then opened up File Explorer and navigated to the Storage Card.

The screen froze and was unresponsive to button presses, I couldn't turn it off either. Popping the card out did not bring it back. Had to soft-reset.

Edit: It froze while loading the icons for the files on the Storage Card
