I literally was not using the phone at all, and when I looked at it, the backlight was off but I could still read the scree and see that it was frozen.

Is anyone else having stability issues?

Yes I had 2 DSOD's (see my posts above). Im on the Verizon stock ROM. Please list what ROM ur using, and any specifics so we can try and find a common denomenator. Jbabey said mine was 1st time he'd seen this. Are u running anything off the card that is working with the today screen etc?

I'm using Verizon. The only applications I installed post-flash are Copilot (main memory) and Intent Manager (Card), none of which were running at the time.

It may be related to the post-flash Verizon customizations being built in? This is the first time I've ever had to input my #777 internet connection after using one of Jbabey's ROMs. I am using Mail2web push e-mail so I need a constant connection. I've had to input it a few times now too (seems to forget the password? I saw another poster with the same issue)

Maybe it'd be best if we let the Verizon customizations to run? This is just a guess though, cause I don't know why this is happening.

YES!
I wondered why i didnt get texts yesterday, so i hit SMS (bringing up palm sms) and had someone send a test and got it. So i didnt think anything of it, but now if i send a text

without palm running, you are right, it doesnt work.
It may not be a rom issue, it might just be the nature of the Palm SMS program.
I am using the Sprint kitchen ROM.

That is not the nature of the palm sms program. There is something wrong with jbabeys palm sms oem. The cab file works as it is supposed to. He will most likely be taking a look at this if he hasnt already realised the problem.

I can also confirm the same problem with not receiving txt msgs. I also tried sending myself a txt msg from sprint's site and tried it both with Palm SMS running and not running and only received a msg when the program was running.

Only some files are visible when using the Resco File Browser. When the regular file browser is used, everything is gravy. I too have the SMS issue.

Yea I dont know whats going on with it. Everything else works. So I try not to exit out the prog just minimize it for now. I know J will catch it and fix it

This same problem shows on Verizon as well - with the caveat being that whenever I do open Palm SMS I get the message with the proper timestamp, sometimes an hour or more old.

Ok so we both on Verizon with this issue. Good to get that narrowed down. Hopefully J can nail this down, but so far we are both at a loss.

Yes I see that also, however the messge bubble pops-up when I turn phone on, just never get alert to tell me it had been there all along.

Is anyone else needing to double-reset to clear issues? Every time I soft reset, it hangs in middle of the reset. A 2nd soft reset does the trick?

Rally1 06-13-2007 04:21 PM

did you guys use his 1.6 release and have similar issues with Palm SMS?

I've had this once, not every time.

I didn't use 1.6 much due to some other issues with it, so I can't say for sure if this happened then.
