I'm happy to pay for it...just want the older version and can't find it.

just download the kitchen and copy the exe file in the OEM to the mogul and make a shortcut to it in games. works fine, there is no registry entries or any of that to worry about they are all created the first time you open the exe.

++++++++++

ya voicecommand is the suck, i love what it does, but it makes the phone unstable, im hoping MS releases an update soon, if for no other reason than to make it work on the mogul properly.

it is also the cause of the "COM OPEN ERROR" in wmodem. disable msvc and soft reset ... wmodem will work fine.

++++++++++++

if your having issues in the kitchen un-checking threadedSMS ... just delete the OEM folder for it and then build.

++++++++++++

fantastic that batti is working for you, unable to duplicate the vistaguage (battv) issue on my end.

++++++++++++

removing the storage card and popping it back in to un'freeze the phone is completely normal, the 6700 has a faulty SD slot driver, this issue will never be resolved on this device, kinda sux ><

EDIT: the new kitchen has updated drivers that have reportedly fixed this issue. Hooray!

++++++++++++++

thanks for the feedback, aside from a few program updates, and maybe one more additional program, ill be updating the kitchen shortly,

The next release is holding until the next kitchen is completed (the one with the updated drivers and the 3.5 core stuffs. stay tuned!

Thanks for the info! Will this update include a cooked rom for Sprint?

I tried to cook my own with basically the defaults in BuildOS along with the Sprint setting in BuildOS. I tried to convert the nba using the Sprint.prj but I had to use the BigJ.prj in order for it to build.

I flashed this rom and my phone works but the internet does not. Any ideas? Thanks again!!!

Decompile ROM

Thanks for all of the great working on these ROMs. I'm a newbie but I just made my first kitchen. I've used some of the other ROMs here and have really love components from each. I was wondering if there was a way to decompile the .nbf file to grab the OEMs and integrate them into my own. Has anyone done this or tried?

Thanks in advance if anyone knows how to do it.

Drew

just download my kitchen from page 1 and open the OEM folder, they are all there.

internet not working? haha, just rebuild, make sure you check off a carrier customization checkbox. aside from that not sure, i know it works!

Sounds awesome... I'm hoping this will fix some of my bluetooth issues. Some have reported that this is a much better bluetooth stack.

thats the rumours, i really hope so, its nice to see that HTC is actually the one behind it so were not hacking in garbage from other phones

cant wait for a vzw rom with better bt and such you're the man

turbocad6 07-13-2007 03:15 PM

hi, I have a question & I did read the whole thread but am not sure if this is similar to any others issues.

all in all I love this rom, I never used the phone with the factory (older) rom at all, put this on it day one & never tried anything else really.

I really like this but i am having one problem, my main uses for my phone is using it for calls & internet access for my pc, everything else is a nice toy or nice bonus, but my primary needs are really my biggest concerns with this phone.

I like the internet sharing app & have used it fine, my problem is, it seems my phone is always making an evdo connection even when I do nothing needing a connection. I think this is causing me to not get a full day of battery use as it's drawing alot more power, also, sometimes when my phone rings, at the same time i get the pop up telling me that it's connecting to my connection & it won't let me answer the call for that call, I keep pressing answer but it doesn't.

any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated:)

zenak 07-13-2007 03:31 PM

Have you installed anything that could be trying to start the connection for you? Some apps want to update every so often. It could be email or even the weather app.

rrm64 07-13-2007 03:57 PM

One more update since my last a few days ago:

I didn't find time to install my MS VC, so nothing has changed on my xv6700 in more than three weeks.

All of a sudden yesterday, my phone started locking up on every incoming call. I got the notification and a ring, then when I would press "answer" or the green button, it would just lock like the old days before custom ROMs. On each occasion, I had to soft-boot to get going again. This happened on at least 4 occasions in the period of 6 hours. It then happened again this morning on 2 calls right in a row.

Yes, my EVDO is always active and is in use a lot since my company dictates a custom push-mail solution. I can turn off the push; but there is no option for "pull".

I was SO convinced it was battv, but it looks like now that it's something else.

For the record - I DO leave my bluetooth turned on, but rarely have my bluetooth earpiece turned on. It was never on at all yesterday.

Dismayed,
RRM

I haven't installed anything but this base rom, haven't even set up email, it does this even after a soft reset, so no programs running, I guess maybe the weather? I'll try to disable that, but I think I have it set at long refreash intervals anyway...

one other stupid problem I have is, sometimes, & only sometimes, the volume is really really low, other times it's fine, when it's really low it still shows max volume when I adjust it...

zenak 07-13-2007 05:46 PM

Volume is a long time issue mine sucks too, always has. Under weather the thing to worry about is the activate connection button. i have mine set to update every 30 mins, but not enable the connection. This way when I am online it updates, but never does so on it's own.

Craig540 07-13-2007 05:52 PM

bigJ I have im plus with my serial but I have been using your version. Now there is a update. if I want to disable your version to install my serial version how do I do it.

geebee75 07-13-2007 07:05 PM

SMS only works from other 1.1r devices

Seems 1.1r doesn't like SMS's from anyone except other devices of the same revision. SMS's sent by other phones, or a pager server for example now don't work. You get the SMS however the body of it says "The contents of this message cannot be displayed."

1.0 works. Just not 1.1r.

I'm on Bell Mobility.

Anyone else having this problem? Suggestions?

Thanks!
Glenn

sevilla_jjl 07-15-2007 09:58 PM

mikee4fun 07-15-2007 10:14 PM

I did not know J's kitchen was full of warez though. Too bad...

You can as long as you don't copy over a program that already exists in that folder. If the build doesn't open it's because there is a duplicate.

fitbryan 07-17-2007 09:21 PM

Right on JB. Are you noticing any differences in speed/stability? Also, which radio are you including? 1.41?

Thanks!

hectorjcenteno 07-18-2007 12:15 AM

I really can't wait till the new release! :D Will you include the whole verizon rom too? or will we have to get the extra cabs and stuff ourselves? Thanks!

hectorjcenteno 07-18-2007 12:17 AM

sorry for the double post

Raging Idiot 07-18-2007 12:40 AM

Had an issue where an email kept being repeatedly sent to a girl I had responded to in which I had said 'Yes I would love to play with you'.
That was to answer her question of if I wanted to play tennis with her tonight.
lol
She said she received several copies over the span of a few hours. I had just downloaded a new version (?) of Windows Live so perhaps it was corrupt or virus ridden, but regardless- I hardreset and am now waiting on your next rom before I set up my phone again.

What I mean is this. Before creating my ROM, I have taken many OEMs out and put a few in. In the SYS folder, the Office folder contains ppt, excel and word. Why not remove this folder and have almost 3 megs free in the ROM for other stuff? Has anyone done this? Or how about taking powerpoint alone out of the folder? And if I did that, what files would have to be removed?

i actually use the mini-office quite a bit myself so its not really something i want to remove. Also, with over 1000 downloads, i am extremely hesitant to remove items (even if i dont use them) because im sure there are people that use this rom that do use programs i dont such as wm5newmenu. The only removal thus far is the groupsms, and replacing it with the wifi hitchhiker. the outlook integration of that program is quirky and crashes my phone when i sms over 100 people.

stability wise, i dunno really, it has not once crashed on me, seems a LOT more responsive. it was crashing handyswitcher a lot though, so i opted to move to the HTC X-Button application. Its not as pretty, but i have yet to have it hang like the handyswitcher does when an app goes awol (like TCPMP).

off the top of my head change wise... i put in an easier contact sort, i have it clear the recent docs on soft-resets, updated memmaid to r2, replaced handyswitcher with x-button, cleaned up the initial today-screen to look nearly identical to wm6, a bunch of shortcut cleanup, changed the default start menu crap, updated picturemail with a more intuitive OEM, changed the voicecommand OEM to one from colonel because my OEM was dated and causing issues with a few people. uh...... dont remember the rest but its nice.

The new release will be 1.2h the h is for hybrid as this kitchen is a 3.3 driver base with 3.5 core files. hope to be ready by this weekend

fitbryan 07-18-2007 03:10 PM

Thanks JB for all the detail. Interesting that you had the handyswitcher issue as I had it also in 1.1 and removed it when I cooked the ROM.

Given all the battv issues, I plan on not installing that, especially since it gives me no screen real estate since intellisync puts itself in the bottom of the screen anyway :(. You leaving that in still? I recall a bunch of people went to some other battery monitor?

i dont have issues with it and the fix for the very few people that were having issues can easily change.... i also think that with the new kitchen and updated drivers, the issue has resolved itself.

fitbryan 07-18-2007 07:35 PM

Right on. Saw you started uploading already. Well done JB!
