Recommend a utility to do read AND write testing to a SD?

I've been having issues with my 2GB Transcend MiniSD lately. It seems to always retake a format fine, but then it gets corrupted again after awhile. I'm wondering if I've got a flaky memory cell and I'd like to test it. There are plenty of PC based utilities for testing RAM and hard drives, but I'm wondering if there is anything to test the cards? Anything that will do it via the PPC?

You can use Pocket Mechanic by Omni to fix and correct memory errors. This will also defrag and peform check disk functions as well. Try and and see if it will fix or diagnos your problems.

Looking at the generally referenced tools (SK Tools, Pocket Mechanic), they don't seem to indicate if they do true write-read testing aka destructive testing. They all "scan" the card, but that just tests the ability to read it. But I've had corruption issues where old data appears in the middle of a new file. I'm trying to nail this down to failed writes (a hardware/card issue) or a file allocation issue (software).
