There was a boat load of posts about this mysterious PDATP plan on HoFo and TreoCentral. The plan was essentially a Phillips or GE (believe those were the companies anyway) employee only plan. So the rest of us weren't supposed to get it, but a few unknowing or very nice CSRs would bypass the error message and apply the plan to your account. However, 3 days after I got the plan, a Verizon company wide email was sent out stating that no one was supposed to get this plan....hence why you probably haven't heard of it since.

If you really want to read more on what it was, there is a long thread on HoFo under the Verizon section.

Cool... thanks for the info. I'm not really too worried about it... since i have my boss paying half of the $44/mo anyways, lol. If i ever run into a nice CSR while at Verizon, i'll be sure to try my luck. :D

I have the data plan through alltel... $29.99/month. Luckly work pays for it :)

I'm with Alltel and my data plan is rolled into a package. $70/month for unlimited data and 500 minutes. The nice thing about Alltel is their network is the largest, geographically speaking. I get EVDO coverage in the most podunk of areas! Plus, with some tweaks, I'm able to EVDO roam onto Sprint.

I wish I had EVDO coverage here in MN... there is no EVDO anywhere near here :(

I personally have the $15 vision pack too, Love it... But Im going to love it even more by the end of the summer when Sprint upgrades the towers in my area to EVDO (There beginning to work on it now and have even set up small test networks in the surrounding cities to prepare for the big one)... Oh and by then I should have a 6800 to use on it... Double Yay!

I actually pay nothing. I have a old sprint data plan from 2002 when it was unlimited data text and calling. That was the last time I had a contract as well. So there is no one that could get me to leave sprint.
