guys, I dropped my phone at a conncert about a month ago (Got the xv6700 in april 07') on ebay for 180 bucks. Only had a minor scratch on the screen which i didnt really care about.
Activated the phone in aprill, then after about a month of use, camera started working half the time then about 3 weeks ago compeltly stopped working. Also joystick goes crazy sometime scrolling down like no tomorrow, but because i 1) dont have insurance of any kind 2) have such a modded OS/firmware didn't ever want to bring it to a service center, plus the nearest technician is 1 hour away. 3) bought the phone used on ebay.
Called a local store who gave me a 1-800 number, called them and within 1.5 minutes had him sending me a free xv6700 replacement fedex overnight to my shipping address for free. Yes no joke, no insurance, sight unseen (could be water damage or total abuse for all they know)
Now I just gotta reflash my firmware and backup everything tonight :)
wohoo, I get my new every 2 next month as well so then maybe upgrade to the xv6800.
