btw, is thr treo a good phone (windows version)? my dad has a 650 for a while now. and with my dads job his phone is durable  . that phone been through so much hell n he still has it. the battery i love it. it lasts so long. is it the same with the wx. its been about 2 years since my dad had his phone. and he loves it |
As a quick story, the sound went out on my 6700 and I had to take it to the store this week. When I dropped it off, the rep told me that there weren't any in the whole Kansas City area. After the 45 minutes I was supposed to wait for the tech to look at it, I went back only to find out that they were testing the earpiece sound and not the system sounds from the speaker on the back. I was told to leave it for a few more hours and again told that there were no replacements in the KC area. Upon returning 2 hours later, the rep walks out of the back room with a brand new 6700 in the box. So, either they have some of the fastest possible shipping or there are some around but they are tightly guarde

Ya I just went in to fix/replace it due to the broken USB port. They also said they were out but put me down on some call list incase they get any in. They also offered a trio and I was like hell no (work with them all day at my office. I dont like em) I mentioned the 6800 and if i could last that long then I could get that as a replacement.
So since it will charge at weird angles and iff all else fails I can pull the battery at night I might see if I can last a bit. Hopefully the 6800 is better for everything and not worse in games or certain apps I have grown to love.. |
The big BIG BIG downside of the 6800 will be a lack of (free) tethering. I'm guessing I'd keep a broken joystick rather than lose that bene.
|
If that is true... then I might have a problem with it.

i broke my 6700 and went to the sprint store and they couldnt do anything and said that i would need to go with the treo. but i have the insurance on my phone and didnt wanna go that route cuz i was told that there were no more 6700 availble. but as a last resort i called the insurance place and i had a brand new 6700 the next day.

ya I figured hat the sales rep at the store was just trying to get me 2 take the treo, because I kno they aren't making anything off me. so I called *2 right after I left and was told that the treo is the only replace ment. but like someone elses example of the 6600 to 6700 exchange maybe if we wait a while we can get it done :) I can't find the dl of the program tha will let me re map the joystick. anybody kno the name? I just want it t be unused b the device so it will stop calling people when I'm looking through my contacts

The Sprint stores are all pretty much going to be a bust, but Assurion has TONS of refurb 6700s.
If you do go to the store and they can't repair or replace your 6700, ask them to call Assurion to secure a replacement for you. Noting your account does no good since the Assurion rep can't access that info. They may be able to get the $50 fee waived for you. |
