Here's a bit of an update...
According to a fellow digger: source: http://digg.com/mods/Strange_Ways_to_Unlock_Car_Doors by fashnek on 5/30/07 Quote:
A couple other neat related ideas if anyone cares. The first vid on this next page seems to hold up, but it's an app written for the RAZR http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/t...lock-car-doors |
actually its possible t unlock your car door with the 6700 or any other phone or device. I.e. if you have the actual remote to unlock the door stand in your house and have a friend stand by your car, call that person and have him/her hold the phone near the car, then hold the remote close to the phone and press the unlock button

the car remotes use radio frequencies that a phone can not possibly transmit |
actually it has worked with a buddy's car....but when I tried it with my own it would not work.
So its not an urban myth! |

Actually, it is possible to unlock your car using a (bluetooth) cell phone. You just gotta pay for it.

Ya know, I got this friend, Who can turn water into wine... I cant do it myself though, But its totally real! He totally can turn water into wine... All you have to do is turn around for a second and he will do it! A PPC6700 has only one method of RF, and thats RF interference, AKA if you somehow manage to get a PPC6700 to unlock a car, You have basically just saw a flying pig... And will probably never see it again... |

Not saying that this works or anything but this is something all of you should think about before you start flaming someone!
"Bluetooth is the name for a short-range radio frequency (RF) technology that operates at 2.4 GHz and is capable of transmitting voice and data. The effective range of Bluetooth devices is 32 feet (10 meters)." my phone has IR as well as bluetooth which I do believe the beam has to be enabled for both to work I might be wrong ..... I'll look in to it! but in any case my phone transmits RF as well! I am in the industry so I will be doing some testing ! Will post back if there is any validity to this! |
If you are in the industry then you know something about frequency and wavelength... not to mention protocol.
But go ahead and waste your time if you want. |
