Modem problems after AKU 3.5 install...help!
 
Hey,

I'm having problems connecting to the internet via cellular line after I installed Clean and Simple 3.5...


Is this common and is there a simple solution?

What phone do you have? An Apache/6700 I assume? And yeah, more details please.

Sorry about the lack of details, I appreciate your help...

I have a Sprint 6700.

I put Kervin's Clean and Simple AKU 3.5 on my phone and everything is running great, except that when I attempt to connect to the internet over the Cellular line, it attempts three times and then I get a message saying:

DIAL #777
No modem at above number. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings.

If i try to add another connection, I get the same problem.

Is this a common problem when adding clean and simple?? Any ideas.

you need to be using the internet sharing program instead of the wireless modem program.

Did you run any of the Sprint customization CABs? Exactly which ROM are you running - the C&S for Sprint or for the one for any phone?

The phone may not be set up for Internet (IOTA), but its hard to tell without even more info :)

One more question - Are you trying to tether from your PC or browse directly from the phone?

otbox21 - This helps, but we need a little more information, if you don't mind.

Mainly: What steps did you go through to set up your modem under the "Settings >> Connections tab >> Connections" configuration? Things that are normally entered automatically by your cellular provider (such as username and password) must be entered manually by you after reflashing.
