About to upgrade to a 3.5 ROM, couple of questions first....

OK guys I'm ready to take the leap and put a 3.5 ROM on my XV6700. I'm with Verizon Wireless, so I have narrowed it down to using either Colonel's Custom 3.5 for Verizon OR Kirvin's 3.5 Clean and Simple. Now heres my questions:

First, I think I would rather go with Kirvin's ROM, I don't want to install a ROM that has a lot of programs already installed on it. However, in the thread detailing what is included with Kirvin's ROM, it says that MMS setting for Sprint are included. So, how do I go about applying the MMS settings for Verizon?

Secondly, If I flash to either 3.5 ROM, will the Verizon extended ROM still be present and try to run when I start up the phone for the first time? If so, and I allow it to run, will that fix the Sprint MMS problem with the Kirvin ROM?

And lastly, If I can't overwrite the Sprint MMS setting with the Kirvin ROM, and I instead install Colonel's ROM, should I still allow the Verizon extended ROM to install or should I abort that?

first...dont let the verizon ext rom to run if you want MMS to work with any rom except if you are putting the origional 2.2 rom from verizon back. after installing your new 3.5 rom, you have to make 3 changes...in the registry, add a connection, change the server (all 3 detailed here http://ppcgeeks.com/verizon-mms-step...light,mms.html)
use the for any apache kirvin clean and simple, not the sprint one. the new kirvin clean and simple is not the one on the first page...its later on, but i think there may be BT "issues" but try it and see if it works for you. good luck. if you have any questions...ask away. i guarantee it works

thanks for the help, I pretty much got it all figured out. Installed the Kirvin ROM, its awesome. Having trouble editing the registry for the MMS settings however. I'll post my problem in this thread:
