Yeah. R3 resolved my issue as well. Strangely, I still see a "connection refused" error on my laptop, but it is tethering. I can use Internet Sharing and transfer files over blutooth. Thanks Hemi_C

Random Volume Beeps

I'm getting some strange random volume slider beeps every once in a while.... dont know if its something I've installed or if others are having a similar problem. I can even see the slider pop up with the beeps. I'm using R3. Its a minor problem with a great rom. Thanks Helmi

I'd love to find out a comparison between this rom and the unified project rom. The unified rom not only thrilled me but I've had many clients ask about how to install it as well. It breathed new life into my old 6700.

Can anyone including Helmi be so kind as to compare the two? I'm not as interested in the extras (nice of course) but I'm more interested in things like is the BT stack newer, is the browser newer, radio newer things like that.

As always thanks to everyone who puts so much effort into helping us make our most useful gadget better! I know I've gushed on about what a great job helmi and everyone does but to me the work you guys do is not only impressive but so helpful to countless people less than happy with their pdaphone.

FYI - The radio ROM is not in either. (Our phones have OS, Ext and Radio ROMs - the kitchens deal only with the OS ROM)

- New core OS. 5.1.478 (True AKU3.5 core) the old/available version is OS 5.1.195 (Aku2) quite old
- New Base rom (bigger capacity, better management)
- New Built method / New Kitchen Method
- Newer system/support files
- Faster built process

overall, in developers perspective it a completely difference thing... but for user It might be just a slight difference between my old version and this new one...

and about the 'extras' it just for testing puspose on how much the rom will hold big fat OEM packages (link to point 2) U will never can load that much OEM with my old built that currently use by any developers here...

Yes, it's very exciting helmi_c.... I'm on hold waiting for the kitchen ;)

I had no idea the core in the unified rom was still aku 2.x based. Its a wonder it works at all ;)

Helmi,

Thanks for taking the time to explain it. Thanks for explaining why you included so much stuff too!

I'm looking forward to finding out how much I can stuff in there since I load quite a few apps - some of which you use yourself -

Things I'd like to load into the rom as much as possible
SPB Pocket Plus
MS Voice Command
VJCadella
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Flash Player
SPB Time
RDP WM6

Things I might load after -
MS Live Search
WIFIFOFUM
VXutil
xconverter Pro
