---After realizing I was going to reflash my phone later, so I might as well try and see--- Sort of. It installs fine, and most features work, but... -I only see "Wi-Fi Settings..." -"Wi-Fi Settings..." actually takes me to "Settings / Bluetooth" -It didn't fully integrate in (i.e. clicking the wi-fi/phone top icons still brings up the old Wireless Manager) This is on my Verizon 6700, using a custom version of the 3.5 Kitchen+Colonel's patches |

friguy3 seems to have it working fine on his device with both R2 and R3. In a conversation we had earlier he told me that all he did was the Verizon hacks and it works perfectly. I have not had this luck unfortunely. I can recieve both Pics and Flix messages but not send anything. |

the comm manager menu's look to be controlled by CommManager.exe.0409.mui this file is noticeably missing from the cab file you posted up, im trying to find where you pulled the comm manager from, but since you have it, if you could try building that file into the cab, or just posting it up to dev, ill give it a whirl, and see if that fixes the menu issue |
I got anxious to use this new core in a kitchen. So I decoded the nbf file and then dumped the nba file. Next I extracted a clean copy of the unified kitchen. The next piece was a very long process but I went through each folder in the Unified kitchen and replaced the modules or files with one's from the dump. A couple hours later all i had left were files from all the OEM's. I had most of the OEM's and the one's i didn't i found "Google" and deleted files till i had just a few left. Of the one's left there were only 2 that needed to go into my new kitchen. The kitchen compiles ROM's a lot faster than the Unified kitchen and i've been able to cram about 11 meg more of OEM's into the kitchen which is incredible.
I have a total of 84 OEMs pre installed. The phone seems more stable and more snappy then previous OS build. I can't wait for the new kitchen, not sure if what i did should have worked but it did and everything seems to be working as normal. Thanks helmi_c for all u'r hard work. And I hope you didn't mind my curiosity ;) |
I did another hard reset and followed the instructions in that post to a T and just did my ota and tested and everything works perfectly now! I am so happy! Thanks for all the help now I get to keep this wonderful rom and have everything I need working properly! This site and all its users are great!
