Sort of. It installs fine, and most features work, but...

-I only see "Wi-Fi Settings..."
-"Wi-Fi Settings..." actually takes me to "Settings / Bluetooth"
-It didn't fully integrate in (i.e. clicking the wi-fi/phone top icons still brings up the old Wireless Manager)

This is on my Verizon 6700, using a custom version of the 3.5 Kitchen+Colonel's patches

I have used the patches that have been provided in multiple threads, but just still have yet to work through them.

The Active Sync issue is my biggest concern as I use it several times a day mostly for file transfers between work and home.

Any suggestions? You need any data from my device I can post for you please let me know!

BT PAN In R3 should work... but I cant test it, but some user has report that it work.
MMS is fixed in the kitchen (Using the old MMS app :()
I never had problem with ActiveSync.

Btw friguy3, does the new MMS (Built In R3) app is working in ur device? Send & Recieve? cos some user report it doesnt and we must back to ancient version with some system file and mms client because of that...:(

please confirm or post ur setting.

my MMS works perfect. and ive reflashed this rom a few times (R3). tell me what settings you want and i shall post my master. please i hate, and let me say that again, hate, the old MMS, hate hate hate. i had put your MMS program you had up (HTC_Artemis_to_Apache_MMS=3_5_1_16.rar) in my unified rom and worked good also. maybe you can make one for me with the newest MMS :) i think id rather stay with your R3 than move on cause i hate the old MMS so much. lol

helmi_c,
friguy3 seems to have it working fine on his device with both R2 and R3. In a conversation we had earlier he told me that all he did was the Verizon hacks and it works perfectly.

I have not had this luck unfortunely. I can recieve both Pics and Flix messages but not send anything.

This is a replacement for CommManager, not Wireless Manager. There should be a little black dot with waves coming off it in your system tray. Clicking on that is what brings up the CommManager.

the comm manager menu's look to be controlled by
CommManager.exe.0409.mui

this file is noticeably missing from the cab file you posted up, im trying to find where you pulled the comm manager from, but since you have it, if you could try building that file into the cab, or just posting it up to dev, ill give it a whirl, and see if that fixes the menu issue

I got anxious to use this new core in a kitchen. So I decoded the nbf file and then dumped the nba file. Next I extracted a clean copy of the unified kitchen. The next piece was a very long process but I went through each folder in the Unified kitchen and replaced the modules or files with one's from the dump. A couple hours later all i had left were files from all the OEM's. I had most of the OEM's and the one's i didn't i found "Google" and deleted files till i had just a few left. Of the one's left there were only 2 that needed to go into my new kitchen. The kitchen compiles ROM's a lot faster than the Unified kitchen and i've been able to cram about 11 meg more of OEM's into the kitchen which is incredible.
I have a total of 84 OEMs pre installed. The phone seems more stable and more snappy then previous OS build.

I can't wait for the new kitchen, not sure if what i did should have worked but it did and everything seems to be working as normal.

Thanks helmi_c for all u'r hard work. And I hope you didn't mind my curiosity ;)

I did another hard reset and followed the instructions in that post to a T and just did my ota and tested and everything works perfectly now! I am so happy! Thanks for all the help now I get to keep this wonderful rom and have everything I need working properly! This site and all its users are great!

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/verizon-mms-...rizon+mms.html

So for the first time in my ROM FLASHING Life, I didn't let the customization load, and afterwards followed those instruction to the penny.

I now have a clean XV6700 with this new Awesome Rom with all the customizations I need. The ## numbers work (I always test ##778) and MMS works just fine both sending and receiveing.

And all that just (old stuff) isn't poluting my phone.

I don't know ... maybe i got lucky??? I'm not sure, but I have those instruction posted to a few mail boxes and saved to a flash drive so I can make sure I used it from now on.

Jimskalajim 06-05-2007 06:41 AM

Whats the ETA of releasing this new kitchen? Its pretty obvious that all the problems are minor considering the benefits....
