Re: Android release on HTC Apache *CDMA Works!*

Yeah but that requires editing initrd, requiring linux to do it. I finally went out and downloaded a couple linux (one debian one knoppix) distros that can be run from a usb pen drive, now I just gotta figure out how to get the files IN there to edit lol I think I'll go dig out my old P3 laptop and just make it a linux box. I'm to lazy to do it to my desktop with it's RAID 0 and my xps laptop may get a dual parition and boot today. Tekk mentioned in my guide thread he's redoing alot, so I may just wait and play with it later.

Re: Android release on HTC Apache *CDMA Works!*

I use VMWare for this type of work... I think the SDK has all the tools you will need...

Re: Android release on HTC Apache *CDMA Works!*

Well I have the sdk for android, and I can run it in a VM, I spent all last night, much to my fiancee's anger, sorting out linux on the xps lappy, by the time I got it installed correctly (mostly) I gave up and never got around to messing with the phone's linux lol. Now if only I could get those video card drivers to install....

Re: Android release on HTC Apache *CDMA Works!*

Yes the startup.txt should be the same, however, I've previously had bad luck with my 2GB Kingston MicroSD for what it's worth, it won't boot either. I usually use my sandisk 512 for testing and a 2GB crucial in daily use.

Oh and thank you, I totally forgot to insert the startup.txt into the package >_< FIXED.

Re: Android release on HTC Apache *CDMA Works!*

ok so this is my current error part of the ouutput is a little block thats white im having the letter B used in the output instead of the block cause i don't know how to make that block appear when typing...

ls: /sdcard/B.rootfs.tar.bz2: No such file or directory. No root file system tar file found..

Thats the error I recieve after having all the files in the root of my SD. I have checked to make sure the extensions were still correct... maybe a file is named wrong? it was the same name of the files when i downloaded them though. Any ideas?
