Just tried... got on the screen:

Mounting SD Card
/init: /init: 19: fail: not found
No previous root filesystem found
ls: /sdcard/m.rootfs.tar.bz2: no such file found
No root filesystem tar file found
<output omitted>
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off

and if I touch the screen shows the position debug as you said.

What could be the problem?

I also just posted a response to your comment on my blog, it seems it might be related to having Windows "hide extensions for known file types" turned on, which is on by default. One way to tell is if you create a new text document on your desktop with the right click menu; if it is named "New Text Document" then windows is hiding file extensions, if it is "New Text Document.txt" then it isn't. Other than that I can only suggest redownloading the files for now, or trying the alternate version of HaRET I posted.

All future releases will be zipped or rarred up and an MD5 sum will be generated to help users determine if something gets corrupted in transit to rule that out as a possibility when the inevitable errors do occur.

I've never posted a comment of any sort here before but I wanted to give a hearty thank you to everyone who is working on making Android a possibility for the rest of us! Keep up the good work! This just puts me one step closer to getting Android on my Titan (ppc6800)... I hope. .... damn it that would be so awesome.... I'll be watching!

Actually burnism, if I'm not mistaken, Android on the 6800 was achieved before this little project was ever conceived, alot of my most useful info has come from articles regarding Android on Ti-OMAP devices. Take a look around the net a bit and see what you can find, you might luck out :)

Re: Android *RELEASE* on HTC Apache *UPDATES*

This is my first post but I wanted to say thanks for all the work that's gone into this. Android is going to be the sh*t I think :) I am having a problem though; all the files seem to be in place and correctly named on my sd card, but I seem to be hanging at "Jumping to Kernel" It stayed there for a couple hours. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

Re: Android *RELEASE* on HTC Apache *UPDATES*

Im guessing my SD card is not compatible, somewhere I see, "SD Card unrecognized SCR structure" or something... I'll get another card and try later... I'll post my results... if you guys do too, post results... good luck.

Aye, that's the error I received when I tried to use Kingston 2gb card I picked up at Fry's last week. :(

Hmmm, I'm not sure mopar, that log doesn't look out of the ordinary for haret, can you tell me the details of your system information so I can see if there's a workaround for you?

- How old is your phone
- What version of windows mobile are you running?
- Which carrier branding do you have? (vzw, sprint, etc)
- What format/size/brand is your SD card? Are you using FAT or FAT32?

Thanks :)

Edit: I've noticed HaRET behaving this way if I turn the phone's radio off before starting, or if I haven't reset the phone in a while and have done alot with it. Here are my radio status' at the time of launch:
BT: off, WiFi: off, Cellular: on and then HTC Performance: off.
