Keeping the 6700 screen in landscape

I've searched this forum for a hack, but I can't find it. Does any one have a hack or an app. that keeps the screen locked in landscape mode. I would like to keep the screen in landscape always, even if I slide the keyboard open then close it. Thanks.

Isn't there an option for this under Settings - Screen? Even I with a square-screen device have the option to rotate my screen with the stock settings.

yea and isnt there the icon in bottom right corner if i remember correctly.

I know some apps will put one there, but not really sure.

If you use the icon in the bottom corner or the same option under settings, then open and close the phone it will go back to portrait. He is looking for something that when he does open and close the phone it stays in landscape mode.

I have looked for an app that would do this as well and there currently isn't any. Seams simple enough I have even found all the components involved in the registry but nothing sticks. There is something in the hardware that keeps changing the settings.

This has been long sought after, and so far as I know, never materialized.

i hate to say just more of the same but... i have too searched far and wide for a solution.

The only solution i have found is to disassemble the device and remove the 2 magnets that control the orientation. the problem is you now have to change the screen manually from here on out. And there goes your warranty.
