Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

Pocket PC phones aren't known for great batterey life... Mine last about 1 1/2 days. Make sure BT is off when not in use and Beams are off.

Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

I agree, turn off Beam, WiFi and BT when not needed. OC'ing will also bring you down faster so watch out for that. Turning down the brightness of your screen helps. Mine would go for my entire work day and most of the evening and mine was OC'ed to 624

Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

Mine usually lasts for *about* two days, using the stock 2.06.00 WWE.

Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

Even with the battery performance tweaks option from the ppckitchen and with wifi/bluetooth/beam off, I'm forced to charge my phone every night before I go to bed. And this is even after buying a new stock battery.

If I don't make any calls in a day, and just use my phone for light calculator use (ie. calculate tip for lunch and dinner) I have 60% left at the end of the day.

I remember with WM5, I would charge every other night (that was the old battery too!). But now with WM6 (albeit a lot more stable and much cooler FTouchFlo toys), I'm in trouble during the day if I didn't charge the night before. :P

If someone can somehow better the battery life issue, that'd be awesome!

(oh and I am also overclocking to 624mhz)

Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

Extended battery.

I can talk, bluetooth, wifi a bit, EVDO surf a bit, take a few pictures, and I generally get 2-3 days without a recharge. But I still try to remember to plug it in every night.

Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

My phone lasts 2-4 days, depending on usage and where I am with it. I know that when I stay around my place, I have less battery life as there is almost no signal here. The main use of my phone is playing games (solitaire and sudoku) as I never really have to call anyone (and no one calls me). From my past experience though, the battery tweaks that are in the kitchen reduced my battery life and caused more problems than they were worth. Not sure if others have tried any of the newer builds with out it or not to compare though.

Re: How Long Does your Battery last?

The main factors are how strong the cell signal is as you travel around, if you use the phone and/or data connection, and if your PPC powers down (suspends) when not used or just turns the screen off... I don't allow suspend, but do turn off the screen, have wifi and beams off, BT on, have light phone and data usage (< 1 hour) and good coverage... with my extended battery, I can go about 8-12 hours... If I allow suspend and turn off BT, I get about 2-3 days... If I turn off the radio (airplane mode) and use suspend, I can go over a week...
