Where have you been looking because it is everywhere here on this board as well as PDAPhoneHome and XDA and even Google. Seriously, just read a few threads because IF YOU DONT you are going to have nothing but more Qs after you get it because you wont know what to do with it.

I need the same thing and can't find it. I've searched on here and it's not sooo obvious. Can someone make it simple and just say, "HERE: DOWNLOAD 6.1 HERE!" Thanks

Re: Windows 6.1 Upgrade

Hi Karesha, there are stickies on getting WM6.1 but we have to use what is called a kitchen. You can download BuildOS from ppckitchen.org and then run the updater to get the kitchen files to start building a ROM for your device. There is no pre made easy to run roms. You will need to study and read and watch how-to videos. I have videos on how you can flash your Apache, those can be found in my signature. If you have questions or anything just let me know. Peace.

Re: Windows 6.1 Upgrade

Unfortunately, it appears to be a rather grey area in terms of legality to distribute a ROM but the tools (kitchen) to make one is perfectly legal. So that is why you don't see any premade ROMs anymore.

To quickly and easily install WM6.1, gently set your Apache in a microwave oven. Set the time to about ten minutes and walk away. When you get back, the process should be complete.

Note: If you think I'm being serious, you have bigger problems than Windows Mobile.

Re: Windows 6.1 Upgrade

Because I know that ppl can be a-holes cruel to a person that knows what they want but has no idea what to look for.

I cant seem to compile a ROM on my AMD machine. I keep getting the dreaded G'reloc error.

However I have been able to get WM 6 on my phone by following these old instructions for Verizon

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ighlight=Helmi

READ THE POST
It is an "executable" type setup and it has worked well thus far for me.

Side post, If anyone has a recommendation on getting past the g-reloc error please PM me.

Re: Windows 6.1 Upgrade

Sorry I don't... notice though that many people try to use those old ROMs but they only work on bootloader 1.00 or 1.02. Older Apaches, not newer ones. That is why we use the kitchen.
