Getting a new 6700 (quick question)
 

hello all, i currently have the old 6700 the one with the old sprint logo (i hate so much) and the one with the white keyboard. my friend that work at the store say he could do an swap for me to give me a new one. one that has the new logo and the blue keyboard. my question is what should i look for in the new phone> i still want my evdo incoming calls just like my old phone. i herd that after 1.14 hats where the evdo bug come in so 1.13 is good. but what else should i look for if i still want to recieve calls /text while in evdo and all the other things my old one can do

check the rom upgrade thread and under the warning header, those are the ones u dont want ;)

im just goin to keep my old 6700 :( it seem such an risk to get an upgrade and i get the wrong one and i cant recieve calls during evdo. i know the thign said dont get one thast 1.14, one that after april and one with aku 2.1 but some of the ones i seen there was made after april i check 3 of them and i dotn want him to pull take out every 6700 just so i can get one. is there an hack that can change the keys blue?

I think there's a hack to enable incoming calls during evdo. Try search the HTC apache section. I'll try to look it up for you.

How to get calls while in evdo session:
1. You need 3 numbers: The MDN (which is your cell phone number), the MSID, and the MSL. I called Sprint to get both the MSID and MSL numbers, though maybe there's a way to get them off of your phone?
2. Perform a reset by typing ##786# from the phone app. Be warned that this is a full hard reset, and will wipe all data.

3. After the reset is done and the device is booting, it automatically installs all the "customization" cabs. I let this finish completely, which took about 5 minutes.

4. Next, I re-programmed my MDN and MSID by typing ##XXXXXX# from the phone app. The "X"s in this case is your MSL number. (should be 6 digits I believe)

Finally, I went into settings --> phone --> services --> internet and then tapped "start" to begin the IOTA process.

THANKS SO much but i was reading that the ones after april u cant do anything about it that the hack dosnt work for it. i think it was on pdaphonehome. and me personally i need to be able o recieve calls. question beofre i do something if i go to the store get the new phone than go on the internet using evdo and use someone else phone an call my phone and it kicks me off liek it suppose too will i be ok?

Thing is i was lucky to get this one and ireally dont want to screw it up beofre i want the new logo. if i could peal the damn old logo off like an sticker an put another one on there i would
