Is there a better way to view pictuer mail on the ppc 6700?

I was wondering what is the best way to view picter mail with the ppc 6700? It seems to take forever to view when you just click the link that sprint provides in the text messages and when it finally does load the picture is thumbnail sized, and i can't get it to download the original picture file on to the phone I have the mms arcsoft software on my phone already but i don't if its even possible to download incoming picture/video mail directly onto the phone with that. anyway if anyone knows a better way to view picture mail with this phone it would be greatly appreciated. you think sprint would atleast make their picture mail site more pocket pc friendly or have a mobile version of the site that you could access, matter fact maybe they do... maybe i need to change the settings on my phone because maybe its not recognized my phone as a mobile phone... hmmm i might have answered my own question... ill let u know

Its because you are doing one of two things. either you are using a custom rom (3.3 or 3.5) or you did the IE6 registry hack. If you have the base sprint rom loaded, picture mail loads up fine. One way around it is to use opera to view your picture mail. If you are using the new Roms, they havent figured out a way around that yet.

that makes sence to me

thanx, that makes sense to me because I am using a custom rom with pie, i though the problem was something along those lines but I figured it was because of flash or something, because before the page would finish loading it would say something about "Player detection in browser" and that there just automatically causes me to think FLASH PLAYER. I used to have opera on my phone as a back up browser but i had to take it off because it caused a problem when trying to open cretin links or trying to use the "LIVE" search bar on the today screen aka i couldn't access the links with opera installed. does anybody know another way? opera isn't really a fix for me... unless theres a way to get it to play nice with links

yeah I'm in the same boat, I just loaded a 3.5 rom and everything works greak except this. I thought about loading up the old rom and saving the ie program(s) and copying back over the new roms. but I don't know if thi will do any good or if the problem is that sprint doesn't recognize the device and therefore shows it as u were on a desktop computer

well, I don't have the phone for MMS, it's simply a fun toy that I am just now getting around to setting up. I am with Sprint mostly for price; currently my monthly bill is ~35 a month Vs. 90-95 with verizon.

Exactly! Sprint is much cheaper than Verizon, especially their data plans. I had unlimited data for $15 a month with no deals or anything. thats just regular price. unlimited for verizon is like $40, and with having a ppc like almost all of us do you almost have to have unlimited data.

I've actually been trying to find an answer to this as well. I'm using a custom 3.5 ROM and the link brings up a page like it would on a desktop. I remembered before it used to just show the picture and you could select to enlarge it.. Maybe I'll try Opera and see how well it works for me.
