For the First Time I have my laptop online with BTPAN. vnc,hamachi and rdp from and to my ppc with all networking features i can think of. maps, trafic, weather. custom themes!!! i am told repeatedly that all this is not possible.

I still haven't figured out logmein if anybody wants to give it a crack. I hard reset 1.6 and deleted the registry entry to disable PIEPlus, but still no luck. I also installed the cab file manually from the logmein website and reinstalled logmein my computer but it didn't work.

I login from www.logmein.com/pda and then when I click on the computer I want to connect me to it directs me to the home page for a normal (non-PDA) login and I'm logged out. If I login from that screen I the computer that I want to connect to doesn't show up (because of the IE formatting not designed for a pda).

BigJ - I thought you deleted the other profile program in 1.6. It seems to still be in my list of programs.

You were able to get hamachi to run on the PPC6700? Is there a client available somewhere for our platform?

phonealarm is quickly becoming a pile of sh!t, im going to remove its integration in the next release and just have a custom built cab to install it for those that wish to use it.

Here is my 2 cents. Would it be possible to have Phonealarm and whatever custom cab files relocate to EXT_ROM on flashing much the way the original Sprint ROM (and Phonealarm with Mario 9.6) did with its customizations, then have an option to install them individually on hard reboot. This would make it easier to update individual cabs as they are updated and have the default change with a simple reboot. IMHO, the external ROM should be hidden and not used regularly anyway. If you are using the mail application to save large attachments (PDF's, jpg's etc), it will cause multiple issues with your attachments. See earlier posts with problems when EXT_ROM is visible.

I do like Phonealarm and PIEplus but obviously reliability is more important. This might be a way to have your cake and eat it too.

Great ROM though I really don't like Phone Alarm as I think it is causing the problem I am having.

My In Call volume is very low and even though I have changed it in Phone Alarm to 100% it is still barely discernable. Is there something I am missing? The volume sliders are showing max volume but I can barely hear callers unless I am in a completely quiet room.

This sounds like the same problem I was having. Phone alarm would continue to adjust the sound level down until the phone was practically muted. Go to the today screen and uncheck Phone Alarm and see if the problem is resolved.

I have been unable to find any information on encoding an ext.rom file for flashing. I have a "blank" one that i use, but even with that, I have no idea who made it or how it was made. Ive asked on xda boards, ive read a few guides looking for clues on how to encode one but have been unsuccessful. If anyone has insight, this is something I am VERY interested in.

Ya, with all the issues people are seeing (im not though wich is wierd). Im gonna go ahead and pull it out. Ill have a custom CAB install i built that will be included with the download however for those that wish to use it.

run the "Reclaim RAM" under programs and try again. You may also need to open handyswitcher and shut down some open programs, i know the browser for instance can take upwards of 10m of execution memory even when its sitting idle in the background.

This sounds like a user-agent issue. The browser is sending an incorrect string to the site that is why its redirecting you. You can use PIE+ to change the agent string that you send, replace your DLL file with that found in the user-agent thread (or PM me and ill send you one), or edit your registry to a portable phone string and reload the page.

I put back in the profile program in anticipation of removing PA, weaver seems to be exceptionally stable with profile management.

nothing as far as the ROM is concerned, there are 2 issues outstanding both of wich are not ROM related.

1 - User.agent string. Its functioning exactly the way new WM (windows mobile) devices are supposed to function, unfortunately most portable websites do not recognize the new WM portable useragent.

2 - Phonealarm issues. The complaints here mirror those on the softwares homepage forums. The program seems to be an "alpha" at best as most issues are not resolved even in their final release. Since the software is not what I would consider to be stable, I will be removing it from the ROM as stated above.

The wallpaper I'm using is the Worms3D that came with your 1.6. I guess it's only for portrait mode ...

sure is wich sux cuz its one of my favorite themes on the phone. I didnt make it though so everytime i try and update the pictures in the TSK they look funny so ive been unable to make this one landscape properly. One day i may go back to it, but ALL of the current theme programs on the market suck ballz!

Don't suppose anyone wants to take a crack at a solution to this problem I posted in another thread that seems to relate to all 3.3. and 3.5 roms, including this one (which I am currently using)?

Basically, a regedit that I used to use which allows me to sync while cradled at work with my exchange server no longer works. Now I have to reset my device everytime I uncradle it. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
