Well... I really can't hold myself at this point.

I wasa paid user of PA - but dropped using it alst year because of various issues that the s/w had.

I won't blame JBabey for any of these - I just keep PA disabled and have been so fine so far.

I did find the same issue with PA when I got to the office today and tried to pair my other BT unit, I had to disable PA from the today screen then go to wireless manager and BT fired up fast and paired w/o any problems. I have since re-enabled PA on my today screen and will check the BT all day.

Love the Metroid ROM and sounds.

there's a thread about this. search for bootloader and there should be one like "Stuck in Bootloader" or something like that.

Reading the forums on pocketmax homepage, I am finding that phone-alarm is the devil with regards to bluetooth and locks with the profiles. This is upsetting because I really enjoy the software. Granted i dont use profiles aside from MUTE and UN-MUTE (im sure you figured that out by the way i setup the default configuration...)

I would like to keep the application integrated however, I see the author working diligently to make 1.6 NOT have the issues that 1.5 does so hopefully he figures the issue out soon, and I can just update the OEM package.

I will post a known issue in regards to phone-alarm hosing BT when you use profiles.... in the interim I would suggest not using profiles if you use BT devices.

Sorry bout that one guys, I wish I could fix it, but i didnt write the stupid program. It kinda sux that there is absolutely no competition that does what PA does...... example: spb weather crashed the phone... i switched to marsweather.... cant do something like that with PA.

Aside from that though, BT is working fantastic! (bittersweet victory, kinda makes me cry a little inside).

Thanks for the guidance and testing you put it through, and the feedback wich led me to read 2 hours of posts on pocketmax support boards.

It looks like 1.4u is just a PA update away.......

Hard reset or reflash the device, this is not "fixable" when customers bring phones in for this issue we always clear&flash

UPDATED KNOWN ISSUES

-BlueTooth is functioning funny, wont turn on, gets the neverending spin and then shows on but wont work...

This issue is related to the use of PhoneAlarm, more specifically using phonealarm profiles.

You have two options.
1- use the default setup that the ROM flashes with, wich has the profiles disabled. The default is HOME, and of course you can MUTE
2- do not enable the phonealarm todayscreen plugin at all, not using the program means you dont have the issues

Optionally you can check the pocketmax support forums, There are many threads on this issue, if you would like to contribute your 2c that would be the place to do it.

++++++++++++++++

on a side-note the FTP mirror is back up. uploading now, check the front page for the link
