Re: Verizon phone not working

We'll need to know what you might've done (or not done) before this happened. If this is a new device, did you activate it on the network?

Re: Verizon phone not working

I used the Apache_Helmi_WM6.1 Selections kithchen in BuildOS, everything works as it should, used the 2.02 rev, ruu was NoID and carrier was Verizon, all selections were selected as the were when it was opened, checked nothing else, ran mitty and flashed phone. Just can get a signal. And is not a new device, once was activated while still in the dark ages, ei. WM5

Re: Verizon phone not working

So why not go back and reflash and make sure you have everthing included in the ROM that is supposed to be there, it is obvious you didnt do something correctly so go reflash

Re: Verizon phone not working

OK, uninstalled BuildOS, selected the above mentioned...reflashed, all in all everything is working excepst the wireless radio, how do I turn this on, I ask this because my phone is telling me to turn it on.

Over all what ppcgeeks have done is very impressive...wait a sec, found it... YAAA, found issue while sittinghere thinking how to thank all of you.

Re: Verizon phone not working

I'm having the same problem. My 6700 was working fine with the Helmi for the past two months. Today I lost phone in the middle of a call signal and haven't been able to get it working again. I reflashed the ROM with no joy. Wireless Manager says I have no service. Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Verizon phone not working

Worth a shot to try verifying Modem settings:

From phone enter ##778 and talk to see EPST screen. (some phone skins will disallow the function - so if you don't get the edit screen option you may need to remove a skin)
Select Edit and enter 000000 (6 zeros)
Under the Display dropdown at the top left, click and selet Modem Settings.

At least on my serial 1.04 verizon model you may see:
Slot Cycle Index 1 (not sure if this is default)
Preferred Serving System Automatic (pretty sure should be set to Automatic)
Preferred Mode Automatic (pretty sure should be set to Automatic)
HDR Hybrid Preferred Enable (HAS to be Endabled - mine was originally set to disabled, and I could seldom get calls in - could call out and text in/out, but no call in)
Clear all MRU Entry No (probably leave the default)

Once you click OK in the top right, you'll be prompted to restart.

It took me three calls to Verizon, and them saying I had a hardware failure, to determine it was just an incorrect modem setting.

Just to clarify, is it saying 'no srvc' or 'none' radio when you boot it? Big difference there. I guess if push comes to shove you can hard reset after backing everything up and if that doesnt work then back it all up and re-flash.
