Ok 2 things. First where can I get "parts" for the 6700 namely the button pad (on the face) and the circuit board below it?) Mine got goofy I replace it with the parts from my backup phone so I am good to go but the backup is perfectly functional I would like to fix that and continue using it as well as my backup.
Second To make sure my phones were working when I got my second phone I switched my ESN over to that phone. Now I have used "both" phones with my account so I know I will have no ESN issues in the future.
SO I made a "backup" of the first phone and "restored" that backup to the second phone.
all seems ok BUT I can not "calibrate" the screen. Once I open that app the touch screen is absolutely dead and unresponsive and so is the phone I have to hit the reset button.
Suggestions?
NOTE I have ZERO programming skill so take the following with that grain of salt in mind. While I have no programming skill I have some "ok" logic skill. MY guess would be that there is some sort of "file" somewhere when you calibrate the screen. That this file was also backued up and restored and that for whatever reason supposed to be or not this file is device specific and my second device pukes when it see this file and can not handle it ?? IE would be as simple as deleting the file and letting Unit #2 generate the file itself.
No idea if thats the cause and if it is No idea what file to whack
any help would be greatly appreciated.
