Boosting Incall volume on the 6700!??

I am just about at my wit's end looking for a fix that will let me increase the 6700's Incall volume. Max volume on the slider just isn't loud enough. I have searched the interwebs, BuildOS's kitchen, and this forum in particular to see if there was some kind of fix or registry hack for this problem.

If anyone has some kind of real solution to my pressing concern I would be most grateful. 6700's incall volume is too low..... How the hell does the operating system adjust the volume. I really don't want to have to learn enough about WM 5 or 6 to write something of my own : / Especially, if there is something already out there.

This worked for me Get PHM Regedit if you don't already have it and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/InCall and change "InitVol to about 10. Works good for me. Enjoy.

The prob with that thought is that is it directly related to the volume bar on the scrren of the phone. What I mean is this, if you use your slider and on the screen the volume display will come up. If you look closely there are 6 notches. This is why the registry can go from 0 -6. Zero is no audio while 5 is as loud as it gets. Wanna try it out? Set your volume to 4 and notice it is on the 5th notch. Then go chk ur registry and see it is set to 3. Change the registry to 5 and go chk your volume and it will be at the 6th (highest) notch. This is why you can only go to 5 and anything over 5 isnt any louder.

And for the original issue for the OP.......since the 67 has come out (a few years back) this has been sought after many many many times and never been resolved. All of you who have or had the 67 know about it and complain about and looked for an answer. Eventually we moved on to the 68 or something else. My 68 is a huge improvement in many ways to the 67

Maybe it was all in the head. Anyway I'm gonna call and just get one more replacment today. In a few I'm movin to 68. The 67's keyboard is what gets me mad.

Re: Boosting Incall volume on the 6700!??

You know, when I got my last one and had called back in because the vibe on it wasnt working right, I told them about the last two 67's I had that did the same and they offered the 68 which I have now and was BNIB.

Hmmm, maybe I'll use that one. All the ones I've offered up here I've used.
