They released new instructions/cabs. I'm going to give it a shot once I get 20748 to run properly.

Yes, it's SLOW (no go wanna go back home, HTC home that is) Delete.
The hard reset that it took to do it was good for the old guy though. Just did a hard reset to get rid of all the apps that was included. Still some residual on the storage card.
Too slow on this geriatric phone. But who knows maybe I'll end up keeping it another three years if VZ screws with the (name anyone) Diamond, Pro, HD.
So forget it. If you don't mind the lack of keyboard and no WiFi, Best buy has the HTC touch for $49 (with new sign-up) and I think $165 basic upgrade. My son has that one and Manilla works awesome. Fast

This doesn't make sense for two reasons.
1) xda specifically says to use WM6.1, that 6 won't work.
2) Each build I did, I followed the instructions exactly. Not one of them worked.
So please, by all means, tell us which M2D release works with WM6. I'm not worried about speed, I can tweak it later.

I told myself I was tired of resetting my phone, and giving up on Manilla 2d, but I came across this thread...

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=38596

Haven't given it a shot yet, but just wanted to throw it out there, because I've been following this thread and a lot of others closely, and this is the firs thing that looks promising..

So are you saying that you baked it into a ROM with a kitchen? I created some oem's for my Helmi's_C and that was easy. But I don't want to go through all of this if it just runs slow. I did the cab and it showed up OK. Just didn't move with my fingers for a couple seconds. I took it off. Now this new dev. is interesting. Just wanted a clarification of your term "make it to oem".
Thanx

edit. any links to a "read me" file for this. or description of baking as an oem in ppckitchen. I've baked before, just wanted a back-up instruction for this in case there was some different procedures. Also, honestly, is it slow? I noticed on the youtube video that there was a little hang-up leaving the today screen. after that it moved fairly fast. But I hate hang-ups bad (type A personality) Also, do you need to leave off almost everything else to get memory for this? And finally, which version of Opera will need to be included?
Actually, anybody have a ROM for this for the apache?????? I'd rather just do that :)

Re: 2D manilla on apache?

from the recent PPCkitchen_OEM already have that OEM, I just extracted the new cab released from XDA Dev and replace all the file in the OEM, and that's it. The reason I did this is to have more space in the Apache.
