Build Problems

For quite a while, me and my friend have been trying to get the Build_OS (PPC Kitchen) program to work. Well, it hasn't. What basically has bee happening, is that its not sending the rom to my phone. I got it to work once, but that just uploaded the base WM6, not 6.1. This is really frustrating. Any ideas? (Sorry for lack of info, what do you need, ill get it?)

Thanks!

Re: Build Problems

There are two different kitchens. Which are you using. WM6.1 or WM6? You will NOT get one out of the other. I have a video on flashing in my signature check it out.

ok, ive had enough of this PPC_Kitchen (pppckitchen.org), Ive wasted too much time on it. Does anybody know how to just upgrade my phone to wm6.1, nothing fancy, ill install everything manually (fun, i know). Any good solutions?

No you have not wasted too much time on it. And it's the only way to have a stable WM6.1 ROM on an Apache all of the other .exe's are supper buggy and not really supported. Just hit play and you will be doing the steps you would by running any other type of ROM. It's not hard, check out my video.

ok, I followed ur video, and did exactly everything. When it goes to place the ROM, it says something like no storage partition found. and then a bunch of stuff follows. That Rom updater screen never appears, and when i manually run it it complains abot not findong the rom. The temp folder also isnt in the program directory. Any ideas? I am using the 1.0.0 bootloader, I dont know if that is anything... The error also said something about Cannot find UTUpgrade.exe or something.

Strange. What kitchen? Lenny or Helmi?

Re: Build Problems

Are you running as Administrator?

Re: Build Problems

yeah. I got the rom uploader to appear. When using standars, it says it cant find the rom. WHen I use No_ID, it just erases my phone (Not bootloader). Oh, X.04+ just gives me the default WM6 (not 6.1).

Edit:
-----------------------------------
Scratch that about the X.04+. I had created an image once beore and it uploaded that. I think it may not be properly building the rom file!

Oh, where does the BuildOS save the rom to? I cant seem to find it.

Re: Build Problems

I have no idea where it goes. Try C:/\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOs

Re: Build Problems

yeah, because when it gets to "Building ROM" ir says something then says something about extras folder and then cannot find it. Than everything else dies.

Re: Build Problems

Hmmm. This is on an differend HD (same PC, just not on C:, on E: still local disk). I think i ofund the temp location:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.2.7Temp\ROM

When i run it with the older version, it kinda works, with X.04.

Where does the upgrade software look for the roms?

Ok, I have another idea. I again, think that the rom creator is broke, and the uploader works. I intend to proove this. Could somebody with the latest BuildOS run a build for me. I will provide a Project file (the Selections .txt thing). If you could load the file (Using standard RUU), and build it. When it gets to trying to upload the file to the phone, go to this location C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\Upgrade\Apache_RUU\RU U\ \there should be like 7 files. The file names nk.nbf is the actual ROM. It will be about 80K. If you could send me that file, I will provide a spot for you to place it or if the site will allow it, just upload it to the site. I will edit this post in a little bit with the Selections.

THANKS SOOO MUCH!!!!!
