WiFi No show
The device: HTC Apache XV6700, Verizon, Windows Mobile 5.1.461 (build 15671.3.3.0), this is the oem from verizon, no verizon customization cabs installed.
The dealio: My WiFi will not turn on. From the comm manager, I tap WiFi, watch the quadcolor spin and then nothing but an X through the icon.
If I go to Start>Settings>Connections>Advanced>Select Networks>New>Modem>New>Select Modem I have only 4 options: Bluetooth (working fine thanks) Cellular Line, Generic IrDA, and Hayes Compatible on Com 1: If select any modem other than bluetooth it requires a phone number. While this process works for EVDO it doesn't do squat for my wifi.
Maybe I sound like a noob, but I assure you I can drive this device and have used the wifi profusely over the last year. It just stopped working. I have tried reflashing with Verizon's AKU3 and also with the PPC Kitchen, upgrading to WM6.1 with absolutely no success.
I'm hoping it's software not hardware and want to exhaust the possibilities before taking it to VZ. Any thoughts appreciated.
