Re: Bluetooth broken? "No bluetooth device installed"
Prolly the downgrade. Have you tried the downgrade again with the hopes of no errors?
Saw this reg hack. If this doesn't turn it on, Weed's right with the hardware problem. Unless you can find a way to reload the BT stack drivers? http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...h+stack&page=2 (last post) btl1 is the device name for the Bluetooth radio. For more device information, see HKLM\Devices\Active. Alternatively, power management for Bluetooth can be disabled completely using the following registry mod (NOTE: this may adversely affect your battery life): [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Bluetooth device\Parms] "DisablePowerManagement"=dword:00000001 Last edited by gambatte; 08-16-2008 at 12:50 PM. |

Re: Bluetooth broken? "No bluetooth device installed"
If you read the "fine print" the BL reversion is prolly the only chance that you can really "brick" the phone (taken from that stcky):
NOTE: IT IS STILL VERY POSSIBLE TO BRICK YOUR DEVICE SO PROCEED WITH CAUTION. BOOTLOADER IS NOT THE SAME AS EXT_ROM, RADIO OR OS!!!!!!!!!!! So if you had any errors, it could be a reason. But as alot of ppl have said, the radio is not selectively disabled. So that only your BT went out, has to be hardware. |

Re: Bluetooth broken? "No bluetooth device installed"
Oh well, Looks like this phone goes in my junk pile. I really need BT for driving and work... I'm sure thats what it was, either way every option has been checked which leaves me out bt for awhile. thanks
