Notifications during calls

I have a PPC-6700 (UTstarcom) with Bell, and been getting fed up with certain notifications: whenever I'm in a call, if I have low battery, or receive a text message, this loud, annoying, ugly, revolting sound goes off and cuts of the words during a call.

It may be bad coincidence, but I always run low on batteries or always received 4723983479834 text messages during very important calls. The people that are calling are quite annoyed, and I'm quit annoyed because the notifications deafen me, cut out the words, and we have to repeat half the conversation.

I tried disabling notifications in settings but there is nothing specifically for that. I went through the hacks, set up a notification setting, but that's only for when the phone is not during the call.I searched through the forums quickly, but it seems I might not know how ot refine the search if there already is a solution out there.

thank you

Re: Notifications during calls

Actually there is something for it - in the registry (ooohh scary) - there are muting profiles set up for different things to happen to the volume of different sounds depending on what the phone is doing right now - however, I have never seen any info on how these all work - I discovered them when the whole "make my 6700 louder" debate was going on.

Anyone know anything about these - it seems that some carriers ROMs and the kitchen ROMs have some mistakes in these muting profiles, cause I have VZW cooked to 6.1 and I have the same problem, but it didn't happen with the VZW stock ROMs

sorry, persian, I haven't really got the time to look this up right now - unlike many others I am not constantly hunting down cool stuff for my 6700/6800/touch/whatever - I work!!!! (no flames please, I am not trying to be rude)

Anyway, if I get the time I will keep looking - though a quick search of my registry is not showing any of the keys I thought I remembered..... maybe we just dumped them all somewhere along the way.

Anyone comment on this - anyone with bluetooth experiencing anything like this?? I don't have it so can't say if this happens with an earpiece

Does it happen if the phone is in silent or vibrate mode?

Re: Notifications during calls

Mine does something similar with no sounds though. When I recieve or make a call, during the call a window pops up saying my vision data service has been suspended during the call. It doesnt really bother me other than i have to close the notification everytime i make a call. Id like that window to not pop up. Any help?
